Canungra Training Area 100m Open Range 2

BOUW consulted on the Canungra Training Area Assault Grenade Range Upgrade to:

    • Remove existing 100m target line static targetry and target trench
    • Construct new 100m target trench and static targetry (with spatial allowance for future electronic targetry)

BOUW delivered the following:

  • Remove existing 100m target line static targetry and target trench 
  • Construct new 100m target trench and static targetry (with spatial allowance for future electronic targetry) 
  • Range Layout sketch for 100m target line replacement and new Ammo Issue Point 
  • Concept Sketch for new 100m target line based on DEQMS standard details and including for future elecro-mechanical targetry 
  • 3D Range Danger Area (RDA) template 
  • Cone of fire assessment from each firing line (100m, 75m, 50m, 5m-25m) 
  • Range Use Summary 
  • Signage Schedule for new or upgraded signage relating to targetry, new waiting shelter and ammo kiosk 

BOUW carried out the design and documentation of the targetry infrastructure suitable for “D&C” delivery as outlined above. In addition, the below General Services were also provided: 

    • Provide advice as to potential target suppliers and range contractors
    • Provide buildability and materials advice in respect of construct waiting shelter to standard drawing
    • Respond to RFI’s from tenderers during tender period
    • Develop program (time schedule) for project delivery
